Our goal at the Promised Land Retreat Center is to provide a Christ based recreation and retreat facility to the South Texas community. Our goal is connecting people to Christ through the beauty of nature and the outdoors. Set within 20 acres, the facilities are surrounded by local wildlife, a natural creek running through the entire property, a beautiful rock quarry and tons of natural oaks.

The Bunkhouse – 54’ X 34’ building is sitting among the heavily wooded oaks on the 18-Mile Creek, a spring-fed creek designed to soothe your soul and renew your spirit in our Lord.

•  The facilities include newly built barndominium style lodging with capabilities of sleeping 48 people per lodge. Uniquely built with separation in mind, each lodge is quartered into 4 separate entrance dorms, with private showers and restrooms on a one-to-four ratio. Finished out with stone siding and cedar post accents, a true Texas lodge experience awaits our guests.

• As you drive into the gates of the property, you will see the Promised Land Chapel, standing tall and strong at the forefront of our facilities. This cathedral was designed to the specs of one of the century long family members' visions sent to him in a dream. The front steps lead to a double oak door entrance surrounded by a facility matching stone and cedar accents. Inside, the foyer breaks off to separate ADA compliant restrooms, an office, storage room and food serving area set to fit catering needs for large parties. Another set of double doors leads to a large cathedral with tiered seating for up to 150 guests. A stage at the back of the cathedral sets in front of a glass wall overlooking the PLO property. A chorus loft and integrated PA/Speaker system are also available to handle large gatherings for weddings & retreat weekends alike.

• The property also will also have a 1,500 square foot multi-purpose building equipped with full bathrooms. This area can be used as additional lodging, a conference area, reception use or as an eating area.

• The PLO Pavilion is also a unique multi-purpose structure. With a full size basketball court and bleachers, the footprint is large enough to hold large crowds for many different uses, including concerts! A raised concrete stage on one end with a roll down door is adjoined by separate restrooms and a large storage area for tables, chairs, etc.

• The pavilion will have a covered lean-to overlooking the beautiful Lakeway, with additional seating for lounging or picnics. There are roll down doors on all sides to have an enclosed structure when needed.

• On site, we have a full commercial mobile food trailer with the ability to handle dietary needs for any group size.
