The Texas Youth Hunting Program (TYHP), in partnership with TPWD, Land Owners and Volunteers takes youth 9-17 years of age on hunts throughout the state.  We educate youth on ethical, safe hunting, wildlife conservation and wildlife management.  We have over 1800 volunteer Huntmasters in 8 areas and over 190 Landowners statewide. Huntmasters are trained and certified volunteers who run all aspects of a hunt.  TYHP provides all training and background checks for our volunteers and we insure each hunt to protect our land owners.  Youth must complete Hunter Education to participate and must register online for membership and hunts.
