On Feb 28th through March 1st, 2020, PLO hosted a hunt through Texas Youth Hunting Program (TYHP) at McFaddin Ranch in Victoria, Texas. The hunt consisted of four youth hunters, the age of 10, from across Texas to hunt doe, varmints, and other game approved by the landowner.
The first day they arrived at McFaddin Ranch, the youth was ecstatic, and it appeared as if they had already known each other before that day. They hit it off and were climbing in this beautiful old oak tree that was at camp the second they got there. They had time at the range to practice shooting the first afternoon and then set up their tents with their fathers.
The weekend consisted of hunting, worship jam sessions around the fire, amazing home cooked food, deer blind bingo, education from the area biologist, laughter and family time!! Every hunter was able to have harvest and animal and fill their ice chest with fresh meat to take home to enjoy!
So exciting!
